Can I custom brand Waybook for my business?

Yes! You can set your own brand colors and logo to make Waybook your own. You can also pick your own subdomain like mycompany.waybook.com or use our CNAME feature to connect your own fully custom domain.

Can I download a backup of my data?

Your knowledge within your Waybook always remains your intellectual property. Knowledge and content is always available in from within your Waybook account in addition to being able to export all content as a structured PDF.

Should Waybook ever cease to trade, we would still guarantee you access to your data in either a CSV, HTML or XML data pull.

Do you support integrations like Word, Dropbox, Slack etc.?

How do I get started with Waybook?

Your Waybook Free trial account will automatically have access to our ‘Start with Waybook’ subject, giving you all of the essential knowledge to get going.

You will also have the option of starting with a templated structure for SOP and document inspiration. Begin centralizing your knowledge from hundreds of documents or use Waybook AI to generate best practice documents specifically for you.

Waybook also hosts regular webinars, free one on one product coaching and has expert data migration and internal process experts available should you wish to hand everything over.

How do I set permissions in Waybook?

You have full control over which subjects your teammates can access and set permissions accordingly; these can be no access, read, edit and publish.

You can easily create member groups to ensure your team has the correct level of access and control required with minimum management and maximum confidence.

If I cancel my plan, will my data be lost?

At Waybook, we offer the ability to pause your subscription and save your data for just $20/month. This will include us holding all of your published and draft content, your members and their progress, your reports and your branding & subdomain.

Whenever you're ready to return to Waybook, reach out to the support team and they can help you to reactivate your subscription and you can pick back up where you left off.

Is our content secure on Waybook?

Yes. Waybook runs in a dedicated Virtual Private Cloud, with firewalls ensuring strict communication between only authorized servers.

Your data is encrypted when in transit and at rest using the highest grade security such as AES-256 and TLSv1.3. Users can also use Multi-Factor Authentication and Single Sign-On to securely log in to their accounts and all activity is logged and recorded for audit purposes.

Waybook also has disaster recovery plans in place to protect your data in the unlikely event of unforeseen issues on our side.

What are subjects, documents and steps?

Think of subjects as the teams and areas of operation within your business. Each subject contains multiple documents. These are the actual activities carried out by the different teams and people in your business. Steps are a breakdown of each activity in the sequence of what needs to be done and how.

What does CNAME allow us to do?

Also known as "custom domains" or "vanity URLs". Using CNAME, you can put your Waybook on your business’ website, for example: knowlege.yourcompany.com.

What is Waybook's backup process?

Waybook has several policies designed to ensure your data is always safe. All data is replicated to a multiple databases, so that in the event our primary database fails, we can get you back online instantly with no data lost.

Alongside that, your data is automatically backed up every hour to geographically separate data centers, with all backups retained for 30 days.

Finally, we take physical backups which are encrypted and stored off-site with a completely separate service provider. This means that our current hosting provider could suffer a complete outage and we would still be able to provide access to your data.

Beyond data, Waybook has a tried-and-tested disaster recovery process in place. You entrust us with your data, and we've spent the last decade making sure we have robust and resilient systems in place to keep it safe.

What member roles does Waybook support?

At a member level, your teammates can either be read-only or have access to make changes. The ability to make changes is then broken down into the following roles:

Admin: Full edit access including settings.

Editor: Edit & create subjects and documents.

Contributor: Edit existing content only.

For roles other than admin, permissions will then be granted on a per subject or document basis.
